THE SISTERHOOD SUMMER RETREAT
Most of us never actually arrive.
We move from one obligation to the next, carrying the hum of notifications, responsibilities, and decisions. Even when we're in nature, part of us may be pulled somewhere else.
This retreat is an invitation to finally land.
This is an environment where you can soften, where your nervous system no longer has to be on guard. Let your body breathe. Sink into a weekend of sisterhood, herbal medicine, nature, and spacious play.
Remove the noise, allow your embodied wisdom to speak.
Together, we'll create the conditions for your body to remember what it feels like to simply be. The weekend will include belly laughs, new friendships, beach fires, embodiment workshops, yoga classes, nature walks, herbal teachings, healthy home cooked meals, and chance to unplug with no cell service.
The beautiful lake front homestead is situated 15 minutes away from Kaslo, about an hour from Nelson.
August 14-16th
This retreat is guided by Marie, a somatic therapist and herbalist who specializes in nervous system healing and embodied transformation.
Her approach blends herbal wisdom with body-based practices to create spaces for women to slow down, connect, and deepen their relationship to self.
The Sisterhood Retreat is for you if:
You crave spacious, deep nature time (you come alive when you have time to unplug and simply be)
You prefer conversations and connection that is honest, meaningful, and leaves you feeling more like yourself
You crave space for your nervous system to soften so you can land in your body
You're interested in herbal medicine as a way of deepening your relationship with the natural world and caring for yourself
You long for a weekend without the constant pull of your phone, emails, or everyday obligations
You appreciate gentle guidance, embodied practices, and spaces where there is no pressure to perform
You want to leave feeling grounded, restored, and at home in yourself
What to Expect
Please note that all activities are optional. There will be professional photography taken throughout the weekend, if you do not want your photo taken please let us know.
Friday: Arriving & Landing
The weekend begins with a gentle transition out of everyday life onto the land. After arriving at the homestead and sharing a nourishing meal together, we'll gather for an opening somatic circle to settle into our bodies, connect with the group, and begin creating a shared container for the weekend. As the sun sets, we'll gather around the fire for conversation, laughter, and playful connection.
Saturday: Connecting with the Earth & Each Other
Saturday is an invitation to deepen with yourself, the plants, and the other sisters present. Through yoga, embodied practices, nature connection, and medicine making, we'll explore the wisdom that becomes available when we slow down enough to listen. There will be plenty of spacious time to swim, rest, journal, wander, and simply enjoy being held by the land.
Sunday: Integration & Returning Home
Sunday offers space to integrate the experience and reflect on what you want to carry forward. Through gentle practices, nourishment, and closing circle, we'll honour the connections made and the ways you've returned to yourself.

The stay is comfortable but rustic. The beds have blankets, pillows, and a good mattress. We are off grid and have limited hot water for showers. The shower is private but outside. We use compost toilets, which means the waste is eventually composted and returned to the earth. (If you have questions feel free to ask.)

There is no cell service on the land but we have wifi that you may use.
